Rheia FAQ

Rheia is an air distribution system. It can deliver air from any piece of heating, cooling, or ventilation equipment.

Rheia 3” and 4” ducts fit easily within the framing of the home where larger, conventional ducts cannot fit, reducing the need for chases and bulkheads.

Rheia is equipment agnostic. Heating and cooling capacity will depend on the equipment selected. All this means is you can pair the Rheia system with any brand of furnace.

Rheia systems fit within the envelope of the home, so there is no duct thermal loss which will occur if any ductwork is located outside the envelope. Rheia ducts are virtually leak free, meaning the air is delivered where intended and not lost.

Many above code programs such as Energy Star have duct leakage and airflow balancing requirements. Rheia easily meets these requirements by being virtually leak free and having a proprietary balancing process called Rheia Verify.

Rheia can be used to deliver air from HRVs or other ventilation equipment. The balancing dampers ensure fresh air gets delivered where it is needed.

The Thermaflex warranty is 10 years on the duct. The expected lifespan of the material is 30+ years. The product has been around since 1967 and we know plenty of cases where the duct has been installed for 50+ years with no signs of degradation.

Homeowners sometimes ask about having more registers per room and we explain that it does a better job of mixing air in each room to reduce warm and cool spots.
