Building our home was a wonderful experience start to finish and we couldn't be happier! Cathy was so kind, patient, and helpful as we navigated the process. She took time to show us different lot options and guided us through making … More changes to ensure everything was just right.
Melinda was equally amazing! She made picking out all the finishes for our home fun and was so patient with us as we considered every detail.
During construction, we had the opportunity to see our home at different stages--framing, drywall, cabinetry, and it was so exciting to see everything come together.
Before closing, we met with the customer care team, who inspected the house top to bottom with us to make sure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail and care for our home gave us so much confidence in the quality of our new home.
If you're considering building a home, I can't recommend this team enough. They made the entire journey smooth, enjoyable, and unforgettable. Thank you so much for helping us create our dream home!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with the team at Doug Tarry Homes that helped me purchase my new home. Cathy Fox is amazing. She is professional, approachable and knowledgeable. She also showed incredible patience … More with me and my numerous questions. McKenna was my incredible decor consultant. McKenna clearly loves her work as she guided me through the selection process. She was very knowledgeable as well, and she even offered to research alternatives for me. She made the whole process very enjoyable. Cathy met with me a few times at the house while it was being built, which I really appreciated as I was able to see the floor plan take shape. Dave walked me through the final inspection and explained everything clearly. I also received a phone call from the customer care team assuring me that they are there to help me with any questions or concerns. I am thrilled with my new home and would encourage anyone who is thinking of buying a new home to consider Doug Tarry Homes. They are the best!

We recently purchased a home from Doug Tarry Homes and the entire experience has been amazing from start to finish. As first time home buyers the process couldn't have been more seamless. All Doug Tarry staff who we have dealt with … More have been knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and have provided awesome customer service. Drew was a particular employee who we dealt with on numerous occasions and he helped ensure the process was stress free and easy for us. He was always there to answer any questions we might have, and we really appreciated his help.
My husband and I both agreed that we could tell the Doug Tarry team truly cares about their home buyers. It is also nice to see a builder and their team who is so involved and gives back to the St. Thomas community.
You can tell Doug Tarry Homes cares about their product as well. There is a lot of thought put into the home building process and our home is so comfortable and beautifully built. We appreciate the energy efficiency aspects of the home and it is nice to see Doug Tarry Homes continues to make this a priority in their homes.

I'm very happy about my purchase of my first Doug Tarry Homes in St.Thomas. Cathy, Michelle and the décor team at DTL were amazing. All my concerns were handled in a professional and within a timely manner. I actually started off looking … More at Hayhoe Homes. My biggest concern was when all my email and voice mail messages to Hayhoe went unanswered. My friend Mark Thompson had just closed on his house and brought me to see Cathy. Speaking with her made me feel welcome and left very informed with all the necessary paperwork to purchase my home. I have nothing but good things to say about this builder. I am still amazed and very excited to move in as soon as it is completed.

We recently completed our custom home build with Doug Tarry Homes and we couldn’t be happier with the process from start to finish. What stood out most was their deep knowledge and skill in every aspect of the construction process. Their … More understanding of structural integrity, materials, and energy efficiency gave us total confidence that we were in good hands. Throughout the build communication was clear and consistent. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and they were always willing to explain the “why” behind certain recommendations. We whole heartedly recommend Doug Tarry Homes to anyone looking to build a home. Their professionalism, skill, and passion for quality make them stand out in the industry. Thanks to Cathy, Melinda and the incredible team at Doug Tarry, we now live in a home that truly reflects our vision.

This month will mark our 2nd year in our brand-new Doug Tarry home and we couldn't be happier. Having relocated from the chaos of the GTA and enjoying the slower pace of St. Thomas - life has been great. From the moment we stepped … More into the model home to the day we received our keys and did a final walk through with the Customer Care team, everyone we have come into contact with on the DTL team has been terrific. A special thanks to Michele M (Sales Team), Debbie (Decor Team), David M & Maryanne (Customer Care) - your knowledge, patience, professionalism and ability to go above and beyond is appreciated. Doug Tarry is not only committed to providing best in class service to their customers, but they are also big supporters of countless local community initiatives, which in turn makes this a great place to live.

We recently built our home with Doug Tarry, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience.
From the very beginning, Cathy Fox, our sales consultant, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was professional, patient, and genuinely … More cared about helping us make the right decisions. It was our first time building a home and we were so nervous as it is such a big milestone for us. There were so many choices and many times we often changed our minds. Cathy remained supportive and offered honest, thoughtful advice throughout.
The design phase with Debbie was also fantastic—she listened to what we wanted, gave great advice, and was upfront and honest about what would work best. We never felt rushed or pressured, and every step of the process felt well-organized and transparent.
What really stood out to us was the level of support we received even after the build was complete. Any small issues that came up were handled quickly and efficiently. The team didn’t hesitate to come out and take care of things right away, which gave us so much peace of mind.
Overall, we’re so grateful for the professionalism, honesty, and care we received from start to finish. We definitely recommend Doug Tarry to anyone looking to build their dream home! We are so happy and can't wait to make so many new memories together in our beautiful home.
