Locals join mission to build homes in Dominican
Twelve county residents, including Carolyne Tarry and Doug Tarry, left for the Dominican Republic yesterday but not to fill their vacation days with pina coladas and pool-side lounging.
The team is leaving to build shelters for the impoverished village of Agua Negra.
The St. Thomas dozen join 177 other Ontario volunteers who chartered an entire plane for the trip.
